Dear Mrs. Major's Class

doodleThere's a very smart group of kids and teacher in Pennsylvania that have been reading 100 books every year for the past five years!

I'm sure all those original first graders have moved on to other grades, but I think this is a very nice idea.

The class looks up author and illustrator websites and then sends out emails requesting the author/illustrator to tell the class about their favorite book. They also ask for one fact about the area the author/illustrator lives in and a bit of personal info.

I'm honored they found my blog worthy of writing to and I'll be sure to send the class a copy of my first published picture book whenever that may happen.

For now I've sent them two GREAT books by Arnold Lobel. It was a really heartbreaking decision to pick one. Mrs. Biddlebox was up there as was Cactus Hotel, George and Martha, Ferdinand, and SOOOO many others.
