illustration friday: MONSTER
My first illustration friday entry.
I am trying to lose some weight...so my biggest fear right now is the cupcake monster:
Followed closely by my second biggest fear of meeting a hungry, pissy giant squid.
I'm trying to keep a sketch journal so these are a part of that! A Moleskine sketchbook except I find it isn't taking water very well or even my ink pen all that well. Perhaps my sketching in this darn thing should be confined to pencil or crayon only? Am I in the wrong Moleskine?

these are both fantastic! i love the cupcake monster...he got me on friday night! the squid drawing is great, and i think the ink & i am assuming water color look great...you can't see any issues with the paper online!!!

These are fantastic, I love the big cupcake teeth and the angry squid eyes, and the grey colour you've used.
I use a moleskine for my journal too and was going to try watercolours on it but wasn't sure it would take. I've been using water based markers in mine though, and they've turned out pretty well.
You are off to a wonderful start. What great good humour your work has.

Great monsters ... yeah, the sketch version of the Moleskine is terrible for watercolor. But a watercolor Mole is coming soon!
